Highland Experiences

Shieldaig Lodge Hotel, Gairloch, IV21 2AN

Based in the Highlands of Scotland, Highland Experiences offers award winning beginners kayaking and walking experiences.

We have three kayaking centres, on Loch Ness, Skye and in Gairloch. We also offer guided walks up Scotland’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis.  Our core business is offering great, fun, beginners experiences for those wishing to enjoy and explore the Highlands. We pride ourselves on helping you to discover Scotland, its wildlife, history and culture, all within a fun and safe environment.

Ben Nevis and Munro Guides: We offer daily guided trips up Scotland’s Highest Mountain Ben Nevis.

The highest mountain in Britain is a tough and strenuous walk. Towering over Fort William is the bulk of Ben Nevis, 1345 meters and a challenging 16km journey. Most groups take between 7 – 9 hours to Conquer The Ben, let us guide you safely to the summit.

Whatever the weather a great day out can be had with one of our expert and experienced guides. All our guides carry emergency shelters, first aid kits, paper and electronic navigation equipment and know how to use them. They will give you a wonderful mountain experience.

Of course, not everyone wants to Conquer The Ben, for others the triple buttress of Beinn Eighe or the infamous horns of Alligin on Beinn Alligin may be your goal. Let our expert guides expertly help you to achieve your goals.
