Nadurra Centre

Description

The Nàdurra Visitor Centre provides visitors with an introduction to the breathtaking variety of flora and fauna to be found on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, one of the most beautiful corners of Scotland. In our 'Living Building' interactive experience, we have harnessed our own passion and love of the natural world in order to create a truly memorable experience for both young and old alike. Our aim is to bring visitors closer to nature and to fuel their desire to go out and discover its riches for themselves. Our highlight for this season is a new hidden CCTV link to a nearby heronry. Live pictures are transmitted back to the centre showing close-up images of these magnificent birds. Our recorded footage includes courtship displays, egg laying, hatching and chicks being fed by the parent birds. You can also sit back and enjoy our big screen showing of 'Ardnamurchan - almost an Island' - an award winning audio visual show illustrated with the photography of Michael Macgregor and enhanced with a moving soundtrack performed by local gaelic singers and musicians.

Our well stocked gift and book shop boasts a wide range of of all things 'highland' as well as a range of quality outdoor wear.

And to round off your day, you can relax in our Antler Tearoom. Here we serve a tempting array of light lunches and delicious home baking. Oh, and one more thing - it's all under cover! So in the extremely unlikely event of it raining during your visit - you won't get wet.
