Shopping

Whether you need to buy groceries, outdoor gear or something a bit special to remind you of your visit to the Scottish Highlands, you’ll find it here...

Everyday essentials
There is a large Morrisons supermarket near Fort William town centre, plus a Tesco Metro on the high street. You’ll also find smaller food shops, general stores and post offices in most villages. Fort William has two pharmacies – both on the high street.

Outdoor supplies
You may well be in the best place in the UK for outdoor shops! We have large chains, and smaller independent shops – all supplying the top brands of outdoor equipment.

Gifts
As a major tourism centre, Fort William is well supplied with gift shops and you can find some lovely unusual gifts – in particular jewellery, crafts and Celtic music, as well as the more traditional Scottish souvenirs.

Local art and crafts
Stained glass mirrors, batik, hand-painted glassware, tapestry, handmade candles and soaps, jewellery, wooden crafts, knitwear, ceramics...the list goes on and on. You’ll find local and Scottish art for sale in many small galleries, cafes and craft shops throughout Lochaber. Or you could paint your own art at Fired Art, café and pottery-studio.

Use the Members’ Quick Search on the left to find the best in local shopping.
