Golf CourseGolf courses in the Outdoor Capital of the UK are a little bit different to the famous links course found elsewhere in Scotland. 

As well as testing your driving and putting skills, your powers of concentration will be tested by the magnificent scenery you find yourself playing in! If you are thinking of taking a holiday in Scotland, let us give you a few ideas to help make your decisions easier!

There are no less than 4 golf courses in the Outdoor Capital.

The 18 hole Fort William course offers a round amongst mountainous scenery, a 6,200-yard course on the outskirts of Fort William and in the foothills of Ben Nevis, Spean Bridge Golf Club with its small but challenging 9 hole course and views of the surrounding mountains and the famous Commando Memorial. Then the beautiful and unique links designed by John Salvesen at Traigh Golf Course lying beside the Road to the Isles with breath-taking views of the Small Isles and the Cullins of Skye, while the Dragon's Tooth course offers delight, magic and challenge, and all are within easy traveling distance, and all welcome day visitors.

The Dragon's Tooth course at Ballachulish near Glen Coe welcomes players of all abilities to come and experience its relaxed atmosphere and beautiful setting between mountains and loch, the Club House Bistro is a "10th hole" dream come true - here you will find decent fresh coffee, home baking, creative meals and lots of friendly services, including free wi-fi.

Fort William Golf Course 

Experience golf in breath-taking mountain scenery. This course offers challenges for players of all levels to test their skills.  Book a social round for yourself, a few friends or your Society and relax afterwards with a refreshing pint or a “wee dram” in the Clubhouse.

Traigh Golf Golf Course

Traigh is on the coast by Arisaig and has been described as "probably the most beautifully sited nine-hole golf course in the world", after being redesigned by famous golf architect John Salvesen a decade ago. The word Traigh (pronounced 'try') means 'beach' in Gaelic, and a series of sandy beaches run alongside the course, with stunning views to the Hebridean islands of Eigg and Rum, and the Cuillins of Skye. 

Spean Bridge Golf Course

The Spean Bridge golf course has a very traditional, Scottish, woodland layout. The natural features of the land have been incorporated into it to make for an interesting and challenging experience.
