The way most people get involved in motorbike trials in Lochaber is by watching the 6 Day Trials that take place every year in Fort William during the first full week in May.  The trials welcome riders from all over the world who participate in a week-long series of timed trials around Lochaber, with the participants covering over 500 miles during the week.

The first 6 Days Trial was held in 1910 around the North of Scotland, and by the 1930's the Trials competition was well on its way to becoming the event it is today, with Fort William chosen as its base.

Today you can enjoy the excitement of trial bike riding as a spectator - find out about the route and the best places to see the trials on the Six Day Trials website.  A map of the route is usually made available on the website the week before the event takes place.

The local club also organise the Grace Dignan Memorial trial, a championship round that challenges riders on tricky natural obstacles.
