Coastal Walks in Lochaber

White sands and secluded bays.....

Camusdarach Beach, near Arisaig Castle Tioram, Ardnamurchan

Lochaber has a seemingly endless coastline - with numerous islands, sea lochs, sandy beaches and castles to discover. Coastal walks will often take you inland for part of your journey, only to rejoin the sea at another inlet.

The white, clean sands of Ardnamurchan, Arisaig and Morar provide a play area for both children and adults, and there are many isolated coves to discover during your stay. Coastal walks are generally quite flat, but can be uneven under foot so take care.

Coastal walks in Lochaber will, almost always, have the spectacular backdrop of the Small Isles, Skye or the remote Knoydart peninsula. These walks are perfect for a summer's evening when the sea breeze will keep the midges at bay. If you can stay up late enough, the setting sun will silhouette the islands. These walks are also ideal for winter when the clear air will give you perfect views and you’ll have most beaches to yourself!
